Meet Our Team
Charles Rider: Managing Partner
Charles started his career in the insurance industry in 2002 working at the family agency primarily servicing and marketing commercial accounts and eventually managing the entire agency and overseeing the company’s largest and oldest clients. His time here gave him the opportunity to receive industry experience with the strength of core family values.
Bringing his strong background to The Colburn Group allows him to have the edge over other small agencies. He has the experience and resources to handle large clientele as well as the personal connection needed to handle a local family or business owner’s needs. Prior to his experience in the insurance industry he owned and operated a retail electronics store after spending time managing at a national retailer. He attended Bryant University after high school where he honed his management and marketing skills.
Jennifer DeMello: Account Executive
Jen is a Licensed Agent and has been with the Colburn Group since 2013. Her office background, organizational skills, and friendly personality have made her a great asset to The Colburn Group. Her ability to find the best products for the money to fit all of our customer’s needs have been key to the growth of the agency.

James Rider Sr.: Managing Partner
JR as he is known is now semi-retired. He can still be found most mornings at the office and always makes himself available to his longtime customers.
He has worked in the insurance industry for decades in all capacities. Including company side, re-insurance, agency employee and finally as agency owner.
His experience and expertise (particularly in the garage and trucking market) are second to none.
Libby Aldrich: Customer Service
Libby has been working at the Cataumet office since 1992 as a service rep. Her experience in the auto market and RMV expertise has made her the go to fall personal auto related questions.
Holly King: Marketing
Holly has joined The Colburn Group, Marion office on a part time schedule to help us with our marketing and social media presence. She will be keeping you up to date on our Facebook Page, Twitter, Website and also through email and mail correspondence. Holly will also be coordinating our Annual Golf Benefit. Holly looks forward to meeting and interacting with you our insurance family.
Sheryl Marciano: Customer Service Representative
Sheryl has been with The Colburn Group for a little over a year. Sheryl comes to us with a strong Financial and Banking back ground. Sheryl is very active within the Bourne community.
